DIANA POPP, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Diana Popp has served as the Executive Director of the Blind Children’s Fund since late 2013.

Diana brings a wealth of non-profit and communications experience to BCF. Her public service has included a 33+ year career in state government in several different departments, where she specialized in operations analysis, program management, communications, and problem solving.

Diana also has worked with several non-profits devoted to education, anti-discrimination, and affordable housing/homeless issues. She also served as an elected school board member and was responsible for several committees. Diana’s non-profit experience also includes serving as the operations manager for a statewide health professional organization during its transition and serving as the communications coordinator for a grant-funded anti-discrimination project as well as serving as a previous president of the Blind Children’s Fund Board of Directors. She has also chaired and participated in numerous committees devoted to the educational, physical, and emotional needs of children.

She has also written for industry-specific magazines and directed an educational program that received national recognition for both its innovation and emphasis on collaboration. She has testified at national hearings on traffic safety and participated as a national and regional conference speaker and panel member.

Diana and her husband have one son and a much-loved rescued dog. Her hobbies include reading, painting (mostly abstracts), and genealogy.
